Look what's new! I found those incredibly cute shoes at Illusion Boardshop last friday. I know it's a skate and snow shop, but if you didn't go for a while now, you will found a lot ... again: A LOT of fashionable stuff in there. And if you're from Sherbrooke, you know there's not 40 places to shop, but this independent shop should definitely be one of them. There's also a shop in Magog if you are around this summer. Let's come back to my lovely strawberry shoes from Vans... How perfect is that?! Seriously the best shoes for summer. It's so comfortable that it's like wearing slipper and I can wear sporty shoes without sacrificing my girly side.
I heard about the california brand a few times, but I never take the time to really take a look at what they were doing till today and what a beautiful discovery! I couldn't not share it with you. Stone Cold Fox is a brand from Costa Mesa form by 2 best friends, Cydney and Dallas. Those 2 girls are amazing and what they do is completely insane. The inspiration is a little bit hippie but in a more classy way and it's definitely feminine and sexy. They describe it this way:
"A CLOTHING LABEL THAT TAKES INPIRATIONS FROM THE DELICACY OF VINTAGE CLOTHING AND SEEKS TO MAKE IT FRESH AGAIN. STONE_COLD_FOX THRIVES TO BE COMFORTABLE, EASY CLOTHING THAT FITS VARIOUS BODY TYPES, WHILE REMAINING TIMELESS. SCF WILL NEVER END UP IN THE GOOD WILL PILE."
I LOVE IT! I will probably get a piece by the end of summer, because it's a little expensive, but I totally want a dress. I will cherish it till the end and leave it to my daughter, I swear! Plus, you can contact the girls and make something unique for you!
"AS EVERY SCF PIECE IS MADE WHEN ORDERED, AND CUT AND PACKED BY THE GIRLS BEHIND SCF"
They explain that the name come from the movie The Virgin Suicide (which is my favorite movie) when Josh Hartnett whisper at Kristen Dunst "You're a stone cold fox" expression from the 70's that mean your a hottie. I LOVE IT! (yes again) Here is some photos of their collections and a video that make me love these girls even more.
Wish I hava a prom!
This is problably the one I'll get :)
There it is! I bought my tickets for Osheaga 2012. Everybody know what's Osheaga, but for the ones who just woke up from a 10 years coma, let me explain it to you. Osheaga is the best music festival in Montreal. 3 days of outdoor shows in an amazing set up with good artists and nice people. It's kind of a mini Coachella without the palm trees. The vibe is so nice when you're there, you don't wanna miss this. Last year, I wasn't there because I was in California (ok it was not that bad) but I was upset to miss 2 of my favorite bands : The Sounds and City and Colour. I must be lucky, because this years, City and Colour are back in Montreal for the event with The Blacks Keys, and Metric. And this is just for Sunday. Julien and I hesitated for a long time to know which day we're gonna choose because friday is also pretty amazing: Justice, Sugar Ros, Florence + The Machine, MGMT, Fun, Dum Dum Girls and Gary Clark Jr. And if you know me just a little, you know that I'm horrible at making choices so we bought both days. YEP, we're gonna be at Osheaga friday and sunday. I can't wait! Here's the lineup, see you there in august ♥
New in! I'm almost ready for summer with my new top from Wildfox. This color is just A-MA-ZING! You always look tanned when you wear peach, plus, it's a perfect match with either dark or light colors! The fit is also very different from what I already have, because of the round bottom, it makes it draped a bit in the back. Really pretty if you ask me ;)
Wildfox Top from Kitsch 74,99$
(only 2 left)
Here is an other inspiring photo shoot, but from Wildfox this time. The inspiration??? Modern mermaids! Who's best than Charlotte Free for this role... Nobody! This campaign is fresh, young, feminine and absolutely beautiful. I know it's a little gray in Sherbrooke today, but you'll see, these photos will take you to a hot California day in just a second. Trust me, I know how to travel cheap ;) And be sure that I don't want to make this a Wildfox blog, but it's my favorite brand so I can't help it! Don't give up little mermaids, summer is coming. ♥
There's 3 shops where I spend my money for clothes, first of all there's Kitsch (because it's an independent and exclusive boutique in Sherbrooke) there's Nastygal.com (because when I'm bored I easily let myself tempted by their amazing selection of clothes) and finally, there's ZARA, who just launch their TRF collection for April. GOD!!!!! I just visit the website and now, I'm craving a couples styles. The site is really well done for shopping, but you can't buy online which in my case, is a good thing! (Because I'm broke and I shouldn't buy anything) But for people with taste and money, there's no ZARA near Sherbrooke, the closest one is in St-Bruno. My point is that if we could shop online, I would probably have a bigger Visa bill right now and I would be waiting for all those (see my pics below) :
This one is my absolute favorite... I'm in love!
Army Jacket 99,90$
Leather Jacket 199,00$
Faded t-shirt 39,90$
Denim Shorts 45,90$
Like I said, last night was all about Pieces who celebrated his third anniversary. A lot of my friends where there and we had a lot of fun. More than 300 people came to the event, you can imagine how the Pizzicato was packed. The crowd got a big surprise when Catherine announced everyone that she was gonna change the name of her boutique for PIOSA. I already love the new name! Here is what I was wearing for the evening: comfortable outfit with heels, always a good choice!
This amazing event is happening tonight as we celebrate the third years of success for boutique Pieces. Plus, a fashion show, cocktails, nice people and much more. If it's not a plan of your night, you'll have to reorganize your agenda because you can't miss it! I'll be there in 7 hours and I still don't know what to wear !!!!! It's crisis! I'll do a report of my night tomorrow and I'll show you my outfit for the evening. I wanna say a special congratulation to my friend Catherine who run this boutique like a master for 3 years now and offer us, fashion ladies of Sherbrooke, the best shoes in town. We love you Pieces! So see you at Pizzicato at 7:00!
Well well well... If you know me a little, you know that when I love something, I can't take it off my mind. I can't even "like" something, either I love it or I hate it! And it's appear that this month, I have a big crush on this kind of poncho. (I don't even know what it is, but I know that I want it since I saw it on Jeffrey Campbell's blog). The color and the texture (that I imagine because I never touched it) makes me crazy. I can really see myself in this around a fire camp this summer or pair with a denim short for Osheaga. So if any of you readers see a poncho, a blanket, or something that looks like this on a website, in a vintage store or anywhere else, please think of me and let me know! Thanks in advance for your help.
